BBC1, 9pmONE of the marvellous things about this 18th-century legal drama, which comes to an end tonight, is that it’s been able to tackle the sort of cases your typical modern courtroom series couldn’t really touch.
When, for example, did Judge John Deed ever preside over a case in which an incriminating receipt for 100 muskets has been discovered in the defendant’s house? Exactly.
But that’s what Garrow finds himself dealing with this week, as he represents a chap who’s been jailed on suspicion of sedition (there’s not much of that these days either) and of plotting to bring down the King.
Meanwhile, Garrow and Southouse settle their personal differences while a pregnant Lady Sarah insists she and our bewigged hero have no future together.
ITV1, 8pmTONIGHT is the night when six becomes five.
And when it all starts to get a bit too much to bear, with some genuinely talented performers being forced to pack their bags.
But enough of that sentimental nonsense – all we really care about is what in heaven’s name Cheryl has decided to wear this week.
ITV1, 10pmOSBOURNE boy Jack has been persuading various celebrities to undertake these crazy challenges of his for some time now.
But tonight’s the first time he’s got his family involved.
And it could be the last, judging by mum Sharon’s attempt at
rock-crawling – where you’re meant to drive a special vehicle up what’s
more or less a vertical rock face.
