MARIO BACK IN TOP GEAR
ABOVE: Mario Kart on the Wii
A game sure to drive Nintendo to the top of the charts is the eagerly-awaited Mario Kart on the Wii, which finally rolled into the shops last week
The game is the successor – give or take a few versions in the intervening years – to Super Mario Kart, the classic driving game for the SNES and Mario Kart 64 on the Nintendo 64.
The latter is still widely regarded as one of the best games in history and, although the new version is unlikely to dethrone the originals, it should certainly challenge Super Mario Galaxy as the best Wii game so far.
