OVERJOYED Wayne and Coleen Rooney have become proud parents of a striking son – leaving the England ace blubbing like a baby.

The couple named the Man United star’s latest amazing delivery Kai Wayne.

Despite his hardman image, the 24-year-old is said to have been reduced to tears when little Kai Wayne Rooney was born.

A spokesman for the couple said: “Mother and baby are both absolutely fine. “Wayne and Coleen are thrilled with the wonderful addition to their family life.”

Bookies are already offering odds of 50-1 that baby Rooney will play for England.

Kai weighed a healthy 8lb 2oz when he was born at 1.45pm yesterday at Liverpool Women’s Hospital.

The natural delivery is thought to have been induced by doctors after the baby was nine days overdue.

Coleen, 23, was admitted to hospital on Sunday night and her husband slept at a nearby fathers’ unit.

Wayne, recently spotted wearing a hoodie emblazoned with his baby’s initials KW, held Coleen’s hand during the birth.

A source said: “The nurses on the ward said that Wayne was a model father.

“The nurses said Wayne had a grin a mile wide when he held Kai in his arms.”

Another mole said: “When Col gave birth, Wayne’s eyes welled up. As soon as he was handed the baby the tears began.”

Coleen’s mum Colette and brother Joe were there to support her, while her dad Tony gave well-wishers the thumbs-up outside.

Wayne’s mum Jeanette was also seen arriving at the hospital. Coleen, 23, is expected to return home tonight.

Wayne, who was excused training for the birth, also looks set to miss United’s crunch Champions League clash with CSKA Moscow tonight.

Meanwhile, Ladbrokes is offering 25-1 Kai will be in Everton’s fi rst team by 2035 and 50-1 he will play for England.
