FAWLTY TOWERS 'NO JOKE'
ABOVE: John Cleese in Fawlty Towers
JOHN Cleese has revealed why there are very few laughs from the studio audience in the classic episode The Builders, recorded in 1975.
In a chat to mark a new Fawlty Towers DVD remastered collection, Cleese, 70, explained: “The BBC ticket unit had distributed 60 of the 200 tickets to a group from Iceland.”
