MPS FACE POLLS FURY

12th October 2009

WESTMINSTER desperately needs a clean-up.

The entire political system has been tarred by the expenses scandal. Dozens of dirty MPs face the boot at the next election over their outlandish claims.

From clearing country house moats to guzzling KitKats, our greedy politicians have lost the respect of voters.

Sir Thomas Legg’s £1million inquiry into dodgy claims must punish those at the centre of the scandal.

No MP found to have abused public cash should be spared.

They must be forced to pay back the cash, named and shamed – even if it’s Gordon Brown, David Cameron or Nick Clegg.

The worst offenders should be jailed if they’ve broken the law.

And the rest of us can get our own back on the greediest ones by kicking them out at the polls next May.

Only then will people start to trust those in charge again. This abuse of public money can never happen again.
