PROFIT TO GO

ABOVE: Diners are shunning restaurants in favour of a night in front of the TV with a pizza
2nd October 2009

By Daily Star Reporter

RECESSION-hit diners shunning Saturday evenings out in favour of TV shows such as The X Factor continue to boost Domino’s Pizza sales.

The chain said yesterday it was on track to beat annual profit expectations as it reported a 10.8% jump in like-for-like sales in the 13 weeks to September 27.

Chief executive Chris Moore said: “Our sponsorship of Britain’s Got Talent and advertising around The X Factor have played a big role in our success.”
