TEENAGER Jamie Barber has become the youngest bodyguard in the country – despite being an 8st girl.
The A-level student, who turned 18 yesterday, has qualified after a month of intensive training.
Jamie, of Walsall, worked for her dad’s firm Red Security over the summer and guarded many of her favourite pop stars.
Licences for bodyguards can be issued only to over-18s and she is out-numbered by her male counterparts by 500 to 1.
But she said: “A lot of it is about surveillance.”
Dad Mike, 39, said: “I am the normal image of a security guard in this country – a big lump – but Jamie blends in perfectly.
“I would look like I am looking after someone, whereas Jamie looks like a friend or a daughter and still does the same job.”
