KATE Price is about to make a sensational return to the telly jungle in a record £450,000 deal.

The model, 31, has been approached by I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! bosses to be their big star of the new series.

And insiders say it could be “ratings dynamite” if Kate agrees to return to the show where her relationship with Peter Andre began.

Kate is keen to sign up in a bid to win back public support after her divorce from Peter, 36.

And telly sources are touting her as the show’s “secret weapon” in the ratings war when the new series begins a week tomorrow.

She would join a line-up including former Page 3 favourite Sam Fox, 43, Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson, 42, and ex- footballer Jason Cundy, 39, and his wife Lizzie, 38.

Footballer turned film star Vinnie Jones, 44, is also thought to be heading out to Australia.

Insiders say Kate could be dropped into the jungle after the rest of the celebs to make her arrival all the more shocking.

The last time she was on the show in 2004, her unlikely romance with Peter kept viewers gripped.

Sources close to the model said Kate returning to the jungle would be “unlikely” as she has other commitments.

But the model loves to shock and an insider added: “Kate knows she has a lot of work to do to win over the public after her split from Peter.

“Officially, the word is that she is not going. But nothing surprises us.”

Meanwhile, Peter spoke out yesterday after Kate’s son Harvey, seven, was admitted to hospital with suspected swine flu.

Speaking on GMTV, he said Harvey was feeling “fine” after being discharged from East Surrey Hospital in Redhill. He added: “He’s a lot better.”

Peter and Kate had their first proper meeting since their split when they rushed to Harvey’s hospital bedside on Wednesday night.

And Kate pulled out of book signings in Northampton and Milton Keynes yesterday to spend time with Harvey.

She was spotted having lunch with cage-fighting lover Alex Reid, 34.

But she had to make another dash to hospital – this time with youngest son Junior, four.

She went with him to A&E at Caterham Hospital, Surrey. Her spokesman said last night: “Junior was in for a routine check-up. As far as we are aware, he is OK.”
