HAYE: I'LL WALK TALL

DAVID Haye last night laughed off suggestions that he is all talk and no action.

The brash Londoner aims to ­relieve Russian giant Nikolai ­Valuev of the WBA world ­heavyweight title in Nuremberg on Saturday night.

After weeks of throwing insults at the man-mountain Valuev said: “Talk is cheap. It is what happens in the ring that matters – not what you say and do outside it.”

But 29-year-old Haye has vowed to back up all of his words by dumping the 7ft 2ins, 23-stone ­Valuev on to the canvas.

He said: “I have walked the walk in my previous fights, ­always backing my words up by doing a lot of fighting.

“I say a lot, I know that, but I also know how to fight and, ­believe me, Valuev has never fought anyone quite like me.

“He will discover that all I have said is right because I have never felt better and know exactly what I am going to do to him.”

Valuev, 36, will present a huge hurdle for the former undisputed world cruiserweight champion.

But Haye said: “I want to make him look silly, embarrass him and knock him out.

“I aim to hit him at every ­opportunity. He has a big head so it won’t be hard to hit him.”

David Haye v Nikolai ­Valuev will be screened live on Sky Box Office this Saturday from 8pm.
