GADGET NEWS
THERE is some interesting news today for anyone who owns an Xbox 360.
A recent deal struck between Microsoft and the broadcaster Sky means that owners of the console will now be able to access live and on-demand content, similar to that available on Sky Player, including Sky1 shows, films on Sky Movies and sporting events on Sky Sports, ESPN and Eurosport. [>
[>
On the downside, it’s not free, with those wishing to watch the content required to have membership to Xbox Live Gold (£5 a month) and a subscription pack from Sky, which starts at £15 a month (the Sky Sports pack will set you back £29.99 a month). [>
[>
Alternatively, you could just get a Sky box installed. [>
[>
Still, it’ll be interesting to see if the service, which is available now via your Xbox 360, takes off. [>
